Explore all things railways!

Creation Station is a family friendly companion exhibition to Railway Portraits on display in the Lovett Gallery. Filled with things to see and do, Creation Station is inspired by the adventures of Robert and Bruce Wheatly, who as teenagers in the 1960s spent their school holidays travelling the countryside, taking photographs of the steam locomotives they encountered and the railway workers they met.

Grab a railway book, play trains on the wooden railway, or just sit back and relax in authentic steam-era railway carriage seats.

Cost: Free entry

Exhibition period: On display from 15 April 2024

Open during Local History Library hours

Booking fees may apply.
